I’ve been flying Southwest for over a decade, but this experience might be my last.

It started with a 3 hour phone call just to buy tickets. I purchased all 3 seats together and was assigned 12A 12B 12C. Then I couldn’t even check in online. Customer service told me to deal with it at the airport.

At the airport, my seats were changed to 13A and 12C with no explanation for 12B.

I’m A List, so I went to the gate to fix it. What should have been simple turned into almost an hour. The agent had to call the help desk, then another department. Even he said this has been happening every day since the new seating changes.

We were eventually moved to 29D 29E 29F. Not even close to what I booked.

And it wasn’t just me. Multiple people on the same flight had the same issue. Boarding was delayed because people were trying to fix seats on the plane.

On top of that, there was pressure to check bags, but there was still overhead space available.

Southwest used to stand out in a good way. Now it feels disorganized and stressful.

After years of loyalty, this feels like the end.
