A royal stay with a few quirks 👑✨ I stayed in one of the Royal Rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside, and while the decor absolutely sparkles with charm, a few details felt stuck in time.
The room was undeniably beautiful—framed princess portraits, light-up headboards, and rich royal blues and golds everywhere. I had an accessible room this time, and the large roll-in shower was a welcome touch.
But let’s talk tech… There were no USB ports, just ancient VGA and RCA inputs, and the TV resolution was laughably low. For a room themed around royalty, the tech felt more like a forgotten castle dungeon.
As a solo traveler, I wouldn’t book a Royal Room again. The space and decor are ideal for families or princess-loving kids, but it felt a bit over-the-top for a solo stay. That said, the view was lovely and the location remains one of my favorites.
