Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace closure now reported through mid-December

BlogMickey reports a later target for the outdoor terrace at the Polynesian. This is not an announcement that the indoor Grog Grotto is closing.

That outdoor drink at the Polynesian will need to wait a little longer. BlogMickey’s October 27 report says Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace is now expected to remain closed through mid-December, rather than return in late October.

What changed—and what is confirmed

BlogMickey quotes an updated Disney resort notice linking the extended closure to refurbishment work at the Great Ceremonial House. Disney’s public Tiki Terrace dining page independently confirms that the terrace is closed for refurbishment, but the version checked for this article does not give an end date.

The mid-December window comes from BlogMickey’s report of Disney’s notice. It is a planning window, not a firm reopening day.

Terrace, not Grog Grotto

This update concerns Trader Sam’s outdoor Tiki Terrace. It is not an announcement of a new closure for the separate indoor Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto.

If you had the terrace in mind for a November or early-December resort evening, keep another option in your plans and check Disney’s latest information nearer your visit.
