Magic Kingdom / Christmas

The Mickey wreaths are going up at Magic Kingdom

Disney shares the overnight decorating work as Main Street begins its Christmas transformation, with garland, colorful lights and those familiar Mickey wreaths.

This is the part of the changeover we have been waiting for: the Mickey wreaths, the bows and the lights. Christmas decorations are beginning to appear at Magic Kingdom, and Disney has shared a little look at the work behind the transformation.

Main Street starts dressing for Christmas

In its November 2 report, WDWNT shows garland, red bows and multicolored lights at the train station, with holiday touches appearing on Main Street buildings including City Hall, the Emporium and the Confectionery. Mickey-shaped wreaths are also back on the lampposts.

These are dated observations of decorating underway, rather than a claim that the park’s full holiday setup is finished.

Watch the transformation

Disney Parks’ official reel shows crews working on the Main Street garland and Mickey wreaths at night. Its caption says “Holiday Season loading,” which feels about right for this moment between seasons.

The official reel is linked below, with its video and sound kept on Instagram. Our photograph is from our 2025 Christmas visit, shared in our November 1 scrapbook post; it is an archival memory, not a photo of this week’s installation.
