Disney Parks with Love / Our memories
From watching along to making memories together: celebrating Janel’s 100K
Looking through these photos, I keep coming back to how this all started: watching someone share a place we love, then eventually getting to share that place with her.
Looking through these photos, I keep coming back to how this all started: watching someone share a place we love, then eventually getting to share that place with her.
Today, Janel and Disney Parks with Love have reached 100,000 subscribers on YouTube. Sara and I are so happy for her. And as we celebrate, we have quite a few memories of our own to look back on.

Long before this milestone, Janel was sharing Disney moments on TikTok. In April 2022, she captured Cast Members making a little girl dressed as Belle feel special during a Magic Kingdom parade. The video was featured by Disney Fanatic. It’s a lovely example of how much there is to notice at Disney beyond the attractions themselves.
That sharing grew to include her YouTube livestreams. By August 2024, a Miles from Main Street interview described Janel as streaming on YouTube five days a week. Park visits, rides, fireworks and conversations with the people watching became part of Disney Parks with Love’s growing community.
We became part of that community too. We loved watching her videos, connected through that shared love of Disney and eventually met in person at Magic Kingdom. Over time, watching along became spending time together.
One of the photos here is from dinner at The Plaza with Sara, Ron and Janel. I love that we have that picture: four people around a table at Magic Kingdom, brought together through something as simple as watching Disney videos. In our post about that evening, we wrote about being grateful for the memories and the friendship. That still sums it up.

Janel, Ron and I also did Keys to the Kingdom together. It was my eighth time taking the tour, but this visit gave me another memory with friends to add to all the reasons I enjoy it. The photo with our guide, Darlene, deserves a place in this celebration too.

Then there was my birthday at GEO-82. Sara and I shared that experience with Janel, including the fireworks dining experience at EPCOT. We’ve also celebrated New Year’s Eve at EPCOT together. Looking back, the photos take us from a meal at Magic Kingdom to fireworks, tours and evenings in the parks. Each one is another part of the friendship that grew out of watching her channel.

The Behind the Seeds photo is especially fitting for this article. I’d taken the tour before, but neither Sara nor Janel had, so we invited Janel to join us.
This time, we were walking through the greenhouses instead of floating past them on Living with the Land. We saw Mickey’s Mini Garden, watched Stanley the sensitive plant fold its leaves when touched and tasted freshly cut cucumber grown right there in the greenhouse. Getting to see Sara and Janel experience the tour for the first time made it particularly memorable for me.
Those are the memories behind our congratulations today. We love watching Janel bring people along through the parks, and we’re grateful that we’ve also had the chance to make memories with her ourselves.
Janel, congratulations on 100K. We’re so happy for you, and we’re looking forward to watching along and sharing more Disney days together.
