Everest’s Yeti is easier to see, but still isn’t moving

New steady lighting brightens the Yeti scene at Animal Kingdom. The figure remains static.

Expedition Everest’s Yeti has brighter lighting, not restored movement. BlogMickey and WDWNT reported on October 23 that a steady light now illuminates the figure alongside the existing strobe.

What riders can see

The extra light makes the Yeti’s face, fur and surrounding broken beams easier to pick out. Both outlets describe the change from recent rides, rather than a Disney announcement.

Keep the repair headlines in perspective

The figure is still static. These observations do not establish that repair work has started, and neither report supplies a confirmed date for its movement to return.

BlogMickey also says its photographs were brightened to reveal detail. They are useful for seeing the figure, but should not be taken as an exact representation of the lighting during a ride.
