Dumbo’s upstairs playground is open again
WDWNT spotted children using the upper level of Dumbo’s indoor queue playground on October 26, after a long closure.
A little more room to play while waiting for Dumbo: the upstairs section of the indoor playground is back in use. WDWNT reported seeing children in the netted upper level during its Monday, October 26 visit to Magic Kingdom.

A useful stop for families
The playground is part of Dumbo the Flying Elephant’s queue in Storybook Circus. Children can play while they wait, with seating available for parents and caregivers. Having the upper level available again gives families more of that space to use.
What has actually been confirmed
This is an on-site observation reported by WDWNT, rather than a Disney reopening announcement. The report describes the upper level as having been unavailable for at least a year, but does not establish exactly when it reopened or why it was closed.
The update concerns the playground’s upstairs area, not a reopening of the Dumbo ride. Check the original report below for photographs of the space.
